Life is looking much better

So much to learn

Wow been a long time

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE

It has taken me all morning to remember how to do this, I swore I would not ask Kurt again how to find this, finally found a paper that says "Blogger- use Foxfire" walla it worked. Now what I have to remember is how to post some pictures again, I just let too much time go in between.

It is supposed to get up to 107 degrees here today, so all my projects will be indoors and even then it is miserable, maybe get to the sewing machine today, have lots cut out to sew just haven't been in the mood.

Better try this and see if it works and again I promise myself to try to keep it up, my daughter in law wants me to start writing down memories so am practicing to see what comes of it...nope it is blank this morning maybe later......

Kurt says I have to practice

Well good morning:

I let so much time go in between posting that I forgot how to do it, so Kurt had to coach me thru it again and his word to me is "Practice" so that is what this is for LOL who knew.

Anyway as you see the post before I have a new great grand son his name is Hunter and he met his big sister Kaydie, oh I know the two of them will have so much fun even tho they are 8 years apart in age, she will always look out for him as I did my brother many years ago. Well a little note just popped up saying I was unable to connect to blog, so guess I will stop here and see if they are serious. Later......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KURT

Today is something good and fun to write about, it my youngest boy's birthday. What a joy he is and has been to me all his life.

I can't say he is absolutly perfect BUT he comes very close, he is loving and kind and gentle and so smart, his brain works overtime. Right now he is going through a tough time job wise but he will make it and be all the better for the experience and go on to bigger and better things, trust me this I know, as I know him and he will never let this stop him from his goals in life.

He is so good to me and without him in my life I am not sure how I would have coped with lots of things that has happened in my life, so I Thank God Everyday For Him.

I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH KURT.....Hope you have a great day.

Time Goes By

Here I am again just going to try to think of something good to blog about. It is another lazy day here for me, have so much too do to get ready for winter (just around the corner) and here I sit. Did start to paint my fence and the farther I went the longer the fence looked so will give it a couple of days and see what happens. I got up with all sorts of good intentions this morning and have not done any of it yet, but still have time.

My son sent put a lot of pictures on my computer so will try to see if I remember how to do that, one in paticular makes me feel the same as this fellow looks, well here I go. P.S couldn't find the one I wanted so will just Happy Halloween to everybody.

Woo Woo found it again

Good heavens I am dense, but here I am again. It is quiet here today (thank goodness) day before yesterday it was like a war zone here between the landlady and 2 of the her tenents, one of them was my terrific yard man, was really afraid he was going to get mad and move, but he assures me even if he does he will come back to help me. He is the best one I have found in the last 4 years sure would hate to lose him.

Just got some pictures of my great granddaughter, she was a flower girl for her mother's wedding, she is so darling almost 8 years old now and quite grown up, I have stayed very good friends with her mother so all is well there. She is going to be a big sister to a baby brother, her dad and his wife she is so excited about it and of course so am I, it is a baby boy due in January so now will have two great grands oh life is good. Well that is about all this old brain can handle today so will say later......love you Kurt

Sometimes it makes me crazy

This getting to my blog sometimes drives me crazy, my Son has it set up so very simple but that may be what is wrong "I don't do simple" LOL I have been 20 minutes trying to remember what he told me and from out of nowhere it apprears so yeah it makes me crazy.

I guess today is a lazy day (another) one for me just can't seem to get motivated on sticking to any one thing, have lots to do before bad weather sets in and here I sit and telling myself "oh well tomorrow" hope for it anyway. Love you Kurt

Now that I have figured out how to get into mine I am going to try to do better on this thing, not sure why I quit before just got lazy I guess. So this is a start will see how good I do from now on.

What a waste

A waste that is for making New Year's resolutions, I said I was going to be better about my writing starting New Years Day, well as you can see that didn't happen guess better late than never right?

It is snowing to beat the band here today, has rained for a week and now snow sure don't look like it has any intentions of quitting any time soon, our surrounding towns are in floods from the rain, the City of Reno is really flooding, so guess I will stay away for a few days, we are in a place here that we just get wet no flood thank goodness, of course our weatherman says lite snow showers today ha did he ever get fooled.

I had a great Christmas, had all my kids home except for Kurt, he is so bogged down with work couldn't make it, even had grandson and great grand daughter, what a joy that was they came the 23rd and was here for my birthday the 24th so that was very special, and yes am getting old this was my 72nd, but still happy to be able to say I am still here and doing fairly well. I have spent the New Year's washing walls and over all cleaning and ousting a bunch of clutter, I have a hard time believing I am the only one living here, I swear some body comes in at night and makes a huge mess for me to clean up, but what else do I have to do LOL.

Well this is a start, hopefully I can keep it going and find some fun things to write about, I am not too creative during the day, it is at night when my mind wakes up and then the fun begins so until something comes along, will hush for this time.

The little garden gnome responsible for this garden makeover! Posted by Picasa

This is Creta's son Kurt blogging in her spot. I'm here visiting for a few days and made mom rock-climb up onto her creation to get a picture. It looks great in the photo but that's nothing compared to what it looks like in person. Great job there Mom! Love, Kurt

WELL I AM STILL HERE

Oh my gosh what a job I took on with my "garden" but it is almost done (have a couple of corners left) but have to wait awhile and let my body heal. I didn't get the very best picture and that was me sitting on a 2 step foot stool with weeds sky high and trying to dig all the bulbs and pull all the weeds, oh that one would have been sweet, but did remember to take one after I got all the plastic down, I have done every bit of of this except for lifting 6 bags of rock on to the mound, my neighbor did that, he wanted to help me but told him no, that this was something I had to do myself to prove to myself I could do it.

It took a lot of pushing and TBB's (tired butt breaks) but it was so worth it, I just love looking at it, Kurt says "good job" it looks like a little amusement park. so going to publish now I hope. Later.....

WHAT SHOCK

I guess I have been out working longer than I thought, couldn't believe it when I signed in this morning that it had been that long since I have posted. Started weeding a mound in my back yard for the 3rd time this summer and decided I would not ever weed it again, so bought some heavy weed plastic and laid it all down and then put a decorative white rock on it (liked to have killed me but I did it) it is sooo cute, instead of flowers I am putting little animal figures in it, I have an old tree stump that we picked up years ago right in the middle so the rock and ect really makes it stand out, when I get it done will take a picture and pass it on, I really am proud of it.

Not much else going on this has been the hottest summer I can remember, we had 108 very consistantly for weeks, so only get out in the early morning for a couple of hours then hide out the rest of the day, the news says that we thought last winter was bad, well get ready this one is going to be worse, did they have to say that this early, can't they let us enjoy the fall without worrying about what is coming...

Last time I posted was right after Kurt had been hit broadside, thankfully I can say he is doing good, very very sore for awhile but now back on track and all moved into his new house, he is coming down in September for a few days and I will fly back with him for awhile and oh yes will brave flying home alone again, getting much better at it, my doctor gave Xanax so take a half one about a half hour before boarding and I am calm, no kicking and screaming or anything LOL, still not crazy about it but am doing it. Well guess that will catch me up a little bit later.....

I AM SO GRATEFUL

I am still thanking God today I am so grateful to him, Kurt was in an accident yesterday a woman ran a red light and broadsided him, the car tipped over and it was loaded with boxes and ect as he is moving into his new house, they had to take everything out and remove him from the back of car, he is a bit bruised and the car is totaled BUT he is fine, no big injuries, just a few bruises he says very sore this morning but otherwise o.k. It scares me when I think of how bad it could have been, so that is why I am so grateful today, he is alive and o.k.

We should all be grateful every day, not just when something happens that could have taken a life, I am such a worry wart about my kids anyway so it is good to get good news........later
